Authenticated users can request an export of account metadata, Grey Mirror job metadata, safe report summaries, and privacy request history.
Exports avoid raw intimate message leakage by default and focus on data the user can use to understand account and report state.
Deletion removes active Grey Mirror job rows, multi-file uploads, normalized-message caches, original-upload archive folders, known generated artifacts, evidence tables, metrics features, metrics cache, and user-associated Grey Mirror usage events where the app controls those records.
If a job is already in a queue or a processor is running, the deletion request removes persisted records and known artifacts; missing rows or files fail closed for future access.
Account deletion requires explicit confirmation because it can remove login access, conversations, messages, Grey Mirror records, and user-owned application records.
Some records can remain when required for security, abuse prevention, payment disputes, legal compliance, or encrypted backup rotation.
Deletion from active systems does not mean every encrypted backup block disappears instantly. Backup rotation follows operational retention windows.
Security, billing, fraud, and legal records may be retained when necessary, with direct message content minimized or omitted where possible.
Use privacy@justlay.me when the in-app deletion flow is unavailable or when you need help identifying a report. Include the account email, the approximate upload date, and any visible Grey Mirror job or report identifier; do not paste private message content into the email unless support specifically asks for it through a safer channel.
If you are asking about a shared conversation, describe your relationship to the upload and the specific record you want reviewed. The privacy team may need to verify account ownership before confirming whether a record exists or whether deletion has already been processed.

The data export is designed to avoid raw message leakage by default. Original source files should be managed from your own device and the JustLayMe account controls available to you.
